Daopakayvanh KHOTTAVONG was a student from Laos who remained for one year at our Department of Biology under Erasmus Mundus programme. After being here supervised on Nematology in the Biodiversity Laboratory, she was quite enthusiactic with the subject and after returning back she became a pioneer initiating this new research matter on her country, at her University, all along this year, under her own responsibility. Last July she has defended her thesis on the “Diversity of nematodes in Laos” which was selected as 'the best final thesis of the Environmental Sciences Course”, the matter being considered 'a good topic to apply through Sustainable Agricultural in Laos”.
