The River Cávado runs from Serra do Larouco to the Atlantic Ocean near the town of Esposende.

We will use a "sit on top" kayak, which is open, unsinkable and with two seats. The kayak tour is about 11 km along the River Cávado from Barcelos to the Barca do Lago, a village about 4 km from the river mouth.

In this reach, the river is wide and has slow flowing waters, alternated with some rapids in small dams, which add excitement to the natural and peaceful environment and inspire participants to have fun.

This reach of the River Cávado has little human influence and has dense vegetation on the banks, providing habitat for birds rarely seen from the riverbanks.
