The cover of the October issue of 2011 (#19) uses an illustration of comparative genomic analysis from an article of our Professor Pedro Santos.
The article, entitled "Draft Genome Sequences of Two Pseudomonas aeruginosa Clinical Isolates with Different Antibiotic Susceptibilities" was published in the Journal of Bacteriology on issue 19, volume 193. The article is available at http://jb.asm.org/content/193/19/5573.abstract
The illustration represents a comparative genomic analysis of two Pseudomonas aeruginosa clinical isolates obtained from sputum samples of two patients with pneumonia, carried out using the CGView Server (J. R. Grant and P. Stothard, Nucleic Acids Res. 36:W181–W184, 2008).
